Bridger Valley Buffalo Chicken Fried Steak

 

Capture a piece of the south and a taste of the western plains with this classic chicken fried steak recipe.

Chicken Fried Steak

  • 2 sleeves Ritz crackers crushed
  • 2 TBSP flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp each garlic and onion powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3 eggs beaten
  • 4 cube steak
  • 2-4 tbsp. lard, Crisco, or oil

Combine all dry ingredients. Dip steaks first in egg, then press into crumb mixture. Fry in hot oil 10 minutes per side over medium heat.
